Winter in the UK brings unique challenges for car owners. Cold temperatures, frost, ice, and salt on the roads can all take their toll on your vehicle. Proper winter car care is essential to keep your car running smoothly and safely throughout the colder months.

Essential Winter Maintenance Checks

1. Battery Health

Cold weather can reduce your battery's capacity by up to 50%. Have your battery tested before winter arrives, and replace it if it's more than 5 years old or showing signs of weakness.

2. Antifreeze Levels

Check your coolant/antifreeze mixture to ensure it provides adequate protection down to at least -30°C. Top up if necessary and have the system checked for leaks.

3. Tyre Condition and Pressure
